I have learned many lessons from my amazing and beautiful mother. But, I think the one that has been most important in my life is the power of love and service. My mom radiates kindness and is always serving others. I love her!

Where to start? I’ll just end up in tears so I’ll go with a funny one- always buy clothes on sale!!! Why pay $100 for one outfit when you can get three or four???

My mother is still a constant influence in my life even though she was not able to communicate very well after her stroke and heart attack when I was a young girl and then passed from this life way too soon. My mother was amazingly talented in many areas, she played the piano and violin. She was a portrait artist and met my father when she was a hat model at Macy’s in New York. She was a gracious, faithful and wise lady. Most importantly, the greatest lesson I learned from her is that while we can not always control what happens to us, we are always in control of how we respond and we should always seek to honor God with all our choices and then we will honor his children. She inspired me to always seek and speak the truth. Because of what she taught, it is my desire to encourage all my family members who never knew her, to become Truth Seekers and Discover True North; Discover Who You Are, Where you Came From, Where you Are Going, How You Will Achieve Your Purpose, and Reach Your Destination So That You May Return To Your Father in Heaven With Honor. She once said; “I hope you will Search and Discover the Truth about yourself and the World around you with an accurate compass that points you in the direction that will allow you to keep finding the many truths that are available to help you create a joy filled life. When you are on the path that our Father in Heaven guides you to walk, you will have many opportunities to encounter people and experiences where you will be able to bless their lives and in turn be blessed with Eternal Joy.”

The best thing I learned from my mom is to never buy anything until it goes on sale and to use coupons. She has taught me how to stretch a dollar and save one.

My mum taught me to keep my own counsel. While it is always nice to talk it out, sometimes time heals better, be true to myself and never let an outsider interfere with my inside (home).
