Meet Michael, a Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie Personality to be sure! This cookie-loving New Yorker finally found a nesting place after having moved 15 times in his life—whew! While perhaps a few too many Budget rentals for our taste, it’s certainly the type of on-the-go that makes for a very sweet Cookie Personality! What is something fun or unique about you?
I’m an Army brat and have moved about 15 times in my life.

Who is your hero and why?
I don’t really have an overall hero but as far as cookies go, my mom is definitely my hero.  I have many fond childhood memories of baking and eating all kinds of delicious cookies.  When I became an adult and got invited to my first holiday cookie party, I called my mom immediately for all her recipes!

Attending a dull and disastrous party is a lot like chipping a tooth with teeth-whitening strips on. ♥ Heidi’s Heavenly Cookies

Presidents’ Day, nestled between Lincoln’s birthday (February 12th) and Washington’s birthday (February 22nd), this federal holiday is observed on the third Monday of February and falls on Monday, February 15th this year.

1. Have kids? Go here and find some great kids activities, games, crafts, and historical facts! Plan a small President’s Day party for your children and their friends and serve gourmet cookies to munch on while the kiddies are making log cabins out of pretzels and white cotton-ball wigs.

2. Visit your nearest Museum of History.

3. Attend or host a patriotic event—no events going on in your area and can’t make it to Washington D.C.? Host a President’s Day party of your own! Serve foods that are inspired by U.S. Presidents’ favorite foods. All of our Presidents were of course different in their tastes: from gourmets to medical restricted diets, some loved classic French cuisine (Jefferson, Kennedy), while others liked “down home” simple food (Adams, Johnson), and some efficiently viewed food as fuel (Lincoln, Wilson). Whatever you decide to serve, incorporating the national colors red, white and blue will transform any meal into one that is patriotic!

4. Make an effort to support our troops and support our veterans. Whether that means sending letters, or monetary donations to our active troops, to visiting your veteran neighbor down the street (bring treats and ask him/her to share some of their stories!), a little attention for all of sacrifice and service they’ve given certainly goes a long way.

5. Brush up on history (U.S. or otherwise) by watching a few clips on the History Channel or stop by Barnes & Noble and pick up a book or documentary about something in history that intrigues you.

From the doorknobs down, Natalie loves being an Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Personality. Oatmeal Raisin Cookie

OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIE: You are a natural. Oh gosh, I wouldn’t say I’m all natural or anything but I do like to live a low key lifestyle while not wearing a ton of makeup or fancy clothes…
(Well, I’d probably wear the fancy clothes if I had the money, and if I ever left my house!)

I wanted the assortment because I love all kinds of

Mostly me (yikes!) And my husband helped out quit a bit as well…

A.  Not long at all! You opened them as right as postman handed it to you at your doorstep!
B.  You were oh-so-patient and put them straight in the freezer to wait for your family to come home.

5.    List a few of your favorite hobbies and things that make you happy?
I love the outdoors, hiking, riding bikes, and running. I also love spending time with my husband and daughter, a lot of the times we are doing the hiking, running and biking together.

6.    How do you spend your “me-time?”
ugh, in front of the computer…

7.    What excites and inspires you?
Powerful and successful woman, as well as mothers who have lots of energy and are awesome with their kids.

8.    Describe a perfect day.
Sleep in, because my husband is home from work and is taking care of the baby, have breakfast then go to the mountains with my husband and daughter and go hiking.

We found this little treat on Gather and Nest: “Wear your cake and eat it too.” Hmm, perhaps we should try making a dress of cookies! I can’t remember what the description was, but when I took the survey it was the title I was given. After eating them, I was happy to say that my personality type was so tasty!

My family (especially my little boy), music, beautiful decorating/art/architecture.

A warm, sunny day with all my family around and full of fun activities. And maybe a good nap.

Any and all occasions. We just sold our house and we relocated before it sold and our neighbor helped care for our yard so as a thank you we sent him a box. I intend to send them for holidays and fun surprises. They are to die for!
