Oatmeal Raisin Cookie

OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIE: You are a natural. Your idea of relaxation has everything to do with being outside in a beautiful landscape—curled up in a shady hammock with a great read (a popular title, but not trendy), hiking with friends, or pruning your yard and garden. You appreciate simplicity and beauty. Your life is holistic. You follow the mantra that says things are best when made from scratch. You practice this in the kitchen with the meals you prepare and also in your handmade gifts. You would rather spend an evening with a few close friends and family than have large and rambunctious get-together. 1.    What makes you an oatmeal and raisin cookie and why?
Oh gosh, I wouldn’t say I’m all natural or anything but I do like to live a low key lifestyle while not wearing a ton of makeup or fancy clothes…
(Well, I’d probably wear the fancy clothes if I had the money, and if I ever left my house!)

2.    What cookies did you order, regardless of your Cookie Personality Type?
I wanted the assortment because I love all kinds of
cookies!

Mostly me (yikes!) And my husband helped out quit a bit as well…

4.    How long did wait before you ate your Heidi’s Heavenly Cookies? (Pick one)

A.  Not long at all! You opened them as right as postman handed it to you at your doorstep!
B.  You were oh-so-patient and put them straight in the freezer to wait for your family to come home.
C.  You arranged your cookies’ unveiling at a party to share with friends.

5.    List a few of your favorite hobbies and things that make you happy?
I love the outdoors, hiking, riding bikes, and running. I also love spending time with my husband and daughter, a lot of the times we are doing the hiking, running and biking together.

6.    How do you spend your “me-time?”
ugh, in front of the computer…

7.    What excites and inspires you?
Powerful and successful woman, as well as mothers who have lots of energy and are awesome with their kids.

8.    Describe a perfect day.
Sleep in, because my husband is home from work and is taking care of the baby, have breakfast then go to the mountains with my husband and daughter and go hiking.

We found this little treat on Gather and Nest: “Wear your cake and eat it too.” Hmm, perhaps we should try making a dress of cookies! Any readers who did and sent in a picture (or better yet, a video!) of a beautiful dress made of Heidi’s Heavenly Cookies’ gourmet cookies would receive a serious prize! Now, don’t beat yourself up about it if you can’t muster up the audacity to find hours and hours of precious extra time and creativity to make a culinary masterpiece like this—its just some lovely eye candy.

Super Bowl Sunday Party Ideas

Since we, at Heidi’s Heavenly Cookies, love to entertain, we thought we could share helpful hints to help inspire you to transform something as casual and laid back as a Super Bowl Party into a fun and stylish affair. Let’s start with looks and move on from there…

1. Decorate the TV room with your team colors, and if, heaven forbid, you’re having guests over that are rooting for the opposing team…keep your composure and simply decorate each side of the room with a different team color—perhaps even tape a line down the center of the room for some fun rivalry.

2. Place a few mini foam fingers in a bowl for the kids to find and play with and you’re good to go (you may even want to set up a separate kids room so that they can watch what they want and play/talk freely).

3. Arrange for pizza delivery or a giant sub sandwich, with healthy options like veggies and dip. Keep plenty of beverages out in a bucket of ice to whet everyone’s whistle. The next step should really help too (if could be so bold to say so ourselves)…

4. Create an elegant dessert bar by presenting copious amounts of gourmet cookies on a table—to help with rising anger issues…okay, hopefully it doesn’t get too bad, but safety 1st! Add a touch of glamour to the room with vase of fresh flowers, and voila!
